Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress, who has worked in television and film, is best known for films such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At 16, she had already been offered a variety of television roles such as the lead role in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Following her highly praised role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went further to take on other memorable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall.
