Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress, who has worked in television and film, is best known for films such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At 16, she had already been offered a variety of television roles such as the lead role in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Following her highly praised role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went further to take on other memorable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. The film was nominated for an Oscar and was praised by critics. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are other Oscar nominated movies featuring the divas. Alexandra has been involved in several notable projects, in both the US and abroad. They include the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historic mini-series Napoleon and many more. She was also one of the members of both Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
